ZAMBOANGA CITY – Basilan Gov. Mujiv Hataman has ordered the implementation of a four-day work week with a designated work from home every Friday in response to calls from the national government to implement energy conservation measures amid the tension in the Middle East.
Executive Order No. 13, Series of 2026, signed by Hataman said provincial government operations will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday to Thursday while Friday is designated as work from home day.
All critical and frontline services, including government hospitals, health facilities, disaster risk reduction and management offices, and other emergency response units, will continue to operate from Monday to Friday to ensure public safety and service continuity.
All government offices were directed to adopt energy conservation protocols to reduce energy consumption, minimize fuel use, and improve operational efficiency.
