It is also part of the association’s continued push to strengthen its grassroots development.
“The tournament continues to play a crucial role in discovering and nurturing the next generation of Filipino softball players. Through competitions like this, we are able to strengthen the foundation of the sport while giving young athletes the opportunity to grow, compete and represent the Philippines in the future,” said ASAPHIL President and Cebuana Lhuillier CEO Jean Henri Lhuillier.
Over the years, the U18 division has played a significant role in identifying the next generation of softball standouts, with several athletes making their way to the senior ranks in the national team.
ASAPHIL is set to host the U18 Asia Cup in December this year, further highlighting the country’s growing role in advancing the sport in the region and providing local athletes greater exposure to high-level competition.
