SM Supermalls, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), turned SM City North EDSA into a one-stop hiring hub where 236 job seekers walked out with jobs.
More than a thousand job seekers attended the annual SM Group Job Fair, with 22 percent hired on the spot.
Employers from retail, real estate, logistics, food and beverage, education, and banking praised the fair’s efficiency in connecting them with qualified candidates.
Hired participants expressed excitement about immediately starting work to support their families.
Through the SM Government Service Express, applicants processed requirements on-site from the Social Security System (SSS), Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), and Philippine National Police (PNP) for police clearance.
This one-stop service streamlined the hiring process, making employment faster and more accessible for job seekers.
A strong turnout of job seekers fills the halls of SM NORTH EDSA, proving once again that the most loved malls are also platforms for opportunity.
SM Supermalls continues its nationwide job fair series this Mar with events at SM Center Antipolo on Mar 4, SM Mall of Asia on Mar 6, SM City Davao on Mar 11, and SM City Trece Martires on Mar 13 and 27.
The series also includes SM City North EDSA on Mar 20, SM City Urdaneta Central on Mar 25, SM City Tuguegarao on Mar 26, and SM City Cauayan on Mar 27.
