Discover the benefits of Tai Chi with Timothée Puget at Sunshine Place
Every Wednesday starting March 11, 2026, from 9 to 10 a.m., Timothée Puget will conduct an eight-session Tai Chi workshop at Sunshine Place.
Tai Chi is a gentle Chinese internal art that combines slow, flowing movements with mindful breathing and focused awareness. It is designed to improve overall health while keeping both the body and mind calm and balanced.
Because the movements are smooth, controlled, and low-impact, Tai Chi is especially suitable for seniors and individuals who prefer light exercise that is easy on the joints.
Classes focus on proper posture, alignment, and coordinated breathing. Movements are taught step by step, allowing participants to learn at a comfortable pace. The sequences are gradual and easy to follow, making Tai Chi accessible even for beginners with no prior experience.
With regular practice, Tai Chi can help improve balance, flexibility, strength, coordination, and circulation. It may also reduce stress, enhance mental clarity, and promote better relaxation and sleep. More than just physical exercise, Tai Chi cultivates calmness, body awareness, and steady focus—supporting long-term vitality, resilience, and overall well-being.
Born in Switzerland in 1992 to a Swiss father and a Filipino mother, Timothée grew up between Europe and the Philippines, shaping his connection to both cultures. He has practiced Tai Chi and Qi Gong since 2011, beginning in the Philippines under Sifu Rudolph Petalver. He later completed a three-year Qi Gong instructor certification in France in 2017 under Sifu Thierry Doctrinal.
Since 2017, he has been teaching Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and meditation, focusing on relaxation, alignment, breathwork, structural integrity, and internal energy cultivation to support long-term vitality and resilience. In 2023, he founded Golden Elixir Internal Arts to provide structured training for modern practitioners. He is currently affiliated with the Chuang Cheng Academy under Sifu Liang De Hua, continuing his traditional Tai Chi studies while promoting practical wellness.
