Additional seats opened for 'BTS The Comeback Live: Arirang' in Seoul
Korean agency Big Hit Music announced the opening of additional seats for the highly-anticipated “BTS The Comeback Live: Arirang.”
The free concert will be held at 8 p.m. KST (7 p.m. Philippine time) on March 21 at the iconic Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul.
The original batch of tickets for the concert sold out. With the announcement, the total seating capacity for the event will rise to 22,000.
Big Hit Music said, "This decision was made to provide a more seamless viewing experience. The seating capacity was calculated with on-site safety and crowd distribution as top priorities," Korean media reported.
A report stated that the concert was initially reported to have a seating capacity of 15,000. The new announcement will increase the capacity by 7,000 seats.
The new seats are all standing only designated as sections C-1 to C-7 and its location is the area across the Sejong-daero intersection from the statue of Admiral Yi Sun-sin.
Attendees at these sections will view the concert via LED screens. Tickets will go on sale on March 12 at 8 p.m. KST via NOL Ticket website.
Big Hit Music also announced that it will strengthen measures to prevent ticket scalping and fraudulent entry.
They plan to block ticket scalping by monitoring and reporting online posts for illegal ticket transfers in real time.
To prevent fraudulent entry, they will strengthen identity verification procedures for all attendees and introduce additional authentication in areas where ticket scalping is expected to be active.
Detailed identity verification procedures will be announced in advance to minimize congestion on-site.
“BTS The Comeback Live: Arirang” will be live streamed on Netflix. BTS’ new album “Arirang” will be released on March 20.
