Police discovered the charred bodies of a man and a woman inside a car on Monday, March 9, in Peñaranda, Nueva Ecija.
Lawmen received a report that a burning red Toyota Wigo with license plates DAR-7847 was parked in front of Leong Hup Farm in Barangay Sinasajan.
Police found the car and saw two severely burned bodies in the driver’s and front passenger seat. Both had bullet wounds in the body.
A report said the victims were a 33-year-old businesswoman and a 44-year-old rescue officer.
The report said the businesswoman was about to sell an apartment building valued at P18 million and was able to drop her young child at school before she was killed. The rescue officer was just driving and accompanying her in the transaction.
The businesswoman’s family suspects that two buyers of the apartment who were with the victims could be involved in the murder.
The families of the victim are appealing for justice.
Police are investigating if money could be a motive of the incident. Suspects have been identified and face murder cases, they said.
