One Ok Rock holds Detox Asia Tour 2026 in Manila: 'You guys are amazing'
Japanese band One Ok Rock held their Detox Asia Tour 2026 in Manila on March 4 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
“I felt so much energy and love from every single one of you! Love you all Manila,” member Toru posted on Instagram.
The concert showed One Ok Rock’s ability to connect on a deep, personal level to the faithful fans in the country.
The fans not only showed-up in full-force but openly expressed themselves in true rock fashion and laid it all out on the line.
One Ok Rock’s members are vocalist Taka, guitarist Toru, bassist Ryota and drummer Tomoya.
The opening video narrative which led into their latest single “Puppets Can’t Control You” immediately proved that the show was bigger, louder and simply better than their previous concert in Manila.
One Ok Rock performed “The Beginning,” “Save Yourself” and the “Renegades” amid the screams and thousands of glowsticks that lit the entire arena.
As each song was revealed with an impressive combination of sound, lights and video textures, both the band and audience proved tireless – and the realization that ONE OK ROCK’s uncanny ability to write and perform all hit singles and favorites was clearer than ever.
Even new tracks from their latest full-length “Detox” like “Party’s Over,” the stop-and-go hard bounce of “Delusional:All” and harder, heavier offerings like “C.U.R.I.O.S.I.T.Y” went extremely well with the band’s Pinoy fanbase, who seemed to already know the slew of new tracks by heart.
After an uber-melodic and well composed guitar solo from Toru, vocalist Taka took time out to thank the Manila crowd profusely, each word brimming with sincere emotion.
“One Ok Rock saved my life,” he revealed, and proceeded: “if these songs saved your life, you being here and supporting us saved our lives too… it’s important that we all find that one thing that keeps us going.”
The members took to Instagram to thank Filipino fans.
“Everyone in Manila, thank you so much yesterday! Thanks to all of you, it was fun right until the very end! I’ll definitely come back to see you all again! But man, the dust in the Philippines is pretty tough... lol,” said Taka.
Ryota wrote, “Thank you Manila. You guys are amazing!!!! Hope to see you soon!!”
“Manila! Hindi ko makakalimutan ang gabing ito. Sobrang saya ko kasama kayo! Maraming maraming salamat sa mainit ninyong suporta. Mahal ko kayo! Hanggang sa muli, Manila (“Manila! I will never forget this night. I am so happy to be with you! Thank you very much for your warm support. I love you! Until next time, Manila),” said Tomoya.
And as the band performed “Tropical Therapy,” it was clear that One Ok Rock had done it again: not just fulfilling the craving for great music, but graciously imparting a sense of hope.
