A section of the Baao–Iriga City–Nabua Road in Camarines Sur will be closed on March 28 for the “Fire Run” activity, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said.
The activity, scheduled from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m., will cover the stretch from the Baao Municipal Public Market to Barangay Sta. Cruz.
It aims to raise public awareness on fire safety and preparedness among local communities.
Motorists traveling through the affected section were advised to take the Baao Bypass Road from La Medalla to Sta. Cruz in Baao, Camarines Sur, as an alternate route.
Authorities appealed for patience and urged drivers to follow traffic advisories during the temporary closure.
The event is part of nationwide activities held every March in observance of Fire Prevention Month.
Observed under Presidential Proclamation No. 115-A, Fire Prevention Month encourages government agencies and local government units to intensify fire safety awareness, especially during the dry season when fire incidents typically rise.
