GUIMARAS – In line with National Women’s Month, a hospital in Iloilo City led a conference specifically to tackle women’s health and wellness.
The Medical City (TMC) was able to bring together hundreds of Ilonggas and key health experts for “Babayinhan: Women’s Health Conference 2026” on Saturday, March 7, a day before the annual International Women’s Day.
President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Felix Ray Villa said the whole-day conference is part of TMC’s Iloilo commitment as a lifelong partner of women in addressing their health and wellness.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Debbie Noblezada-Uy said the conference featured diverse panel of women who represented different stages of womanhood – from adolescence, motherhood, career-building, and senior life.
One of the panelists was actress Kaye Abad-Castillo. Other panelists were entrepreneur Mikka Ella Perlas, Miss Paraw Binibini 2026 Patricia Beerda, Rose Candaza of Zonta Club Iloilo, pediatrician Dr. Maria Janette Jasmine de Ramos, and gynecologist Dr. Jaydee Anne dela Fuente.
Dr. Razel Colacion, chairwoman of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, added that Babayinihan can spark a movement where every Ilongga is empowered to live her best life.
