The city government of Las Piñas is encouraging pet owners to protect their pets and families by participating in the Nationwide Mass Anti-Rabies Vaccination on Wednesday, March 11.
Las Piñas City Mayor April Aguilar said the activity aims to strengthen rabies prevention in the community by providing free vaccinations for pets, particularly dogs and cats, while promoting responsible pet ownership among residents.
Aguilar said the event will be held from 8 a.m. to 12 noon at the Bernabe, Timog, and Verdant covered courts.
She said the activity is being organized in cooperation with the Las Piñas City Veterinary Services Office, the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association, the Bureau of Animal Industry, and the Provincial City Municipal Veterinarians League of the Philippines.
The mayor added that the vaccination drive is part of the continuing effort to protect the community from rabies, a fatal but preventable disease that can be transmitted from infected animals to humans.
Aguilar advised pet owners to register online in advance through pawnec.com/register to ensure a smooth vaccination process during the event.
Residents were also reminded to bring their pets properly secured on a leash or inside a carrier and to prepare their QR code registration upon arrival at the venue.
The mayor said that through collective action and responsible pet care, the city government hopes to strengthen its campaign for a safer and rabies-free community.
Aguilar emphasized, “Protect your furry friend, save your family,” and urged residents to take part in the vaccination activity to help ensure the safety of both pets and people in Las Piñas.
