'Indak ni Juana' kicks off Women's Month celebration in Pasay
Hundreds of women joined the “Indak ni Juana” Zumba Party Contest at the Pasay City Hall grounds on Sunday, March 8, marking the start of the city’s celebration of National Women’s Month.

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the activity aims to promote women’s empowerment, gender equality, and solidarity among women in the city while recognizing their vital role in nation-building and community development.
She added that the celebration also serves as a platform to strengthen public awareness of women’s rights and highlight the importance of creating safe and inclusive spaces for women in society.
The city government has also prepared a series of activities to honor and support the welfare of women in the city.
Before the dance contest began to the tune of “It’s a Beautiful Life,” the mayor joined the participants, along with celebrity performers from the Street Boys and other dance instructors.
A total of 24 groups showcased their dance skills and creativity in the annual Zumba Dance Party contest. Special awards were also given during the contest.
Participants who won the Best in Costume, Most Number of Participants, and Best Performer categories received P10,000 each, while the other participating groups received P5,000 as a consolation prize.
In the main competition, the champion received P50,000, the first runner-up took home P25,000, and the second runner-up received P15,000.
