GUMACA, Quezon – The municipal government is implementing a four-day work week starting Monday, March 9.
Mayor Webster Letargo has issued Executive Order No. WDL08-03-2026 to reduce electricity and energy consumption in offices, lower transportation costs for employees amid rising oil prices driven by tensions in the Middle East, and support President Marcos' call for alternative work arrangements.
New work days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be no work on Wednesday.
Letargo added that department heads remain "on-call" for emergencies.
The municipal health office (MHO), municipal disaster risk reduction office (MDRRMO) rescuers, watchmen, traffic enforcers, garbage collectors, street sweepers, eco-aides, market, and slaughterhouse personnel, sanitary landfill, and CMRF workers will remain open and working to ensure that critical services are not interrupted.
Letargo assured that the municipal government is always ready to serve efficiently and prudently.
