Cops arrest all fugitives in Taguig's top 10 most wanted list
Police arrested all the fugitives in Taguig City’s Top 10 most wanted list for last month in a series of operations in the past few weeks, the National Capital Region Police (NCRPO) reported.
This is the second straight month that the Taguig City Police Station accounted for all the ten fugitives in the top 10 most wanted list, according to its chief, Col. Julius C. Añonuevo.
“These results show the sustained efforts of our personnel to locate fugitives and ensure the service of valid warrants issued by the courts. For the second month in a row, our team has successfully accounted for all individuals listed in the Top 10 Most Wanted,” he said.
Those arrested face various cases ranging from rape, robbery, attempted homicide, statutory acts of lasciviousness, and violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Añonuevo said the operations were conducted in coordination with partner units of the National Capital Region Police Office, the Southern Police District, and other law-enforcement elements.
Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano commended the Taguig police for maintaining consistent results in the city’s campaign to uphold peace and order:
“Peace and order supports our goal of building a Transformative, Lively, and Caring City. When communities are safe, services are delivered more effectively, opportunities increase, and families feel secure,” said Cayetano.
She added that the city government will continue supporting the police in strengthening public safety programs and ensuring that Taguigeños live in secure and orderly communities:
