Parañaque daycare teachers to get P5,000 annual chalk allowance

The Parañaque City government announced that the City Council has approved an ordinance granting an annual chalk allowance to Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) teachers in the city.

Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez said that under City Ordinance No. 2025-34 (73), Series of 2025, daycare teachers in the city will receive an additional P5,000 yearly allowance to help cover classroom and teaching materials commonly used in early childhood education.

Olivarez said the measure aims to provide financial support to daycare teachers who often spend their own money on supplies needed for teaching young learners.

He added that the additional benefit is part of the city government’s continued effort to improve the welfare of educators and recognize the important role they play in shaping the development of children in the community.

The city government likewise expressed its appreciation to daycare teachers for their dedication and service in nurturing the city’s youngest learners.
