Janice de Belen shares her 'Roja' takeaway: 'Huwag masyadong malandi'
If there’s one thing Janice de Belen picked up from her time on “Roja,” it’s this: flirting too much can lead to trouble—on screen and off.
‘Huwag masyadong malandi. (Don't be too flirty) My character here faced many problems because of that, and honestly, it’s also given me trouble in real life. So that’s my biggest takeaway,” Janice shared, drawing laughter from the crowd during the “Roja” media conference at ABS-CBN on March 6.
She continued, “That was Wendy’s problem, and it was mine too. So, enough is enough.” The seasoned actress left her statement at that, not delving further into the details.
With “Roja” barreling toward its explosive finale, Donny Pangilinan and Kyle Echarri took a moment to thank the fans who stood by them through all the action and drama.
“We owe everything to our fans. This series wouldn’t exist without their support. We pushed ourselves to the limit, even getting injured during some scenes. I’m so grateful to have worked with such a talented cast. Action isn’t my comfort zone, but I learned a lot,” Donny revealed.
Kyle echoed this sentiment: “We gave our literal blood, sweat, and tears for this project. I’m proud of what we accomplished. It’s bittersweet, but I’m excited for everyone to see how it all ends.”
In these final episodes, Donny and Kyle gear up for their most intense battle yet, squaring off against Emil (Joel Torre) and his group of hostage-takers.
Prepare for jaw-dropping revelations as Olsen (Kyle) uncovers the truth about his father’s identity, while Liam (Donny) makes the heart-wrenching choice to turn his mother, Greta (Lorna Tolentino), over to the authorities as the mastermind behind the hostage crisis.
But the real fireworks ignite when former best friends—and now rivals—Wendy (Janice de Belen) and Greta (Lorna Tolentino) face off. With betrayals and long-buried secrets finally erupting, their confrontation promises to be unforgettable.
Fans were thrilled when Kyle and Kai Montinola were questioned about the possibility of working together again.
"Action? Bakit hindi? Siguro, kasi, it's not the first thought that would come to your mind. Kai Montinola, mag-a-action? Hindi kasi siya ang magiging first impression mo. But why not? You explore," said Kai.
Kyle answered, "Oo naman. For sure, I would love to work with her again. Since Day One, nakakuha kami ng good chemistry when it comes to working together. It doesn't feel like work when we're together in scenes. So why not?"
When asked if a project is already in the pipeline for them, Kyle said, "Abangan nyo na lang po."
