Samar police conduct all-women checkpoint in Catbalogan City
In line with Nat'l Women's Month
TACLOBAN CITY – In celebration of National Women’s Month, the Samar Police Provincial Office conducted an all-women checkpoint on Maharlika Highway, Maulong, Catbalogan City, Samar, on Friday, March 6.
The checkpoint was led by Police Capt. Jem Henerry Fallong, chief of the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD), in collaboration with the Catbalogan City Police Station, Bureau of Fire Protection-Catbalogan, and Catbalogan City Law Enforcement Office.
Police Col. Arwin Tadeo, Samar police director, praised lady police officers who participated in the checkpoint.
“This all-women checkpoint highlights the capability, dedication, and professionalism of our policewomen," Tadeo said. "Their leadership in this activity reflects the PNP’s commitment to gender equality and to recognizing the vital role of women in maintaining peace and order in our communities.”
