Male employee shot dead by ex-lover in Lucena

LUCENA CITY, Quezon – A 24-year-old employee was shot dead by his former lover in Barangay 4, this city, on Thursday morning, March 5.
Police identified the victim as Jayson.
Investigation said the victim was returning clothes borrowed from the 30-year-old male suspect inside a store owned by the suspect's brother-in-law when a heated argument erupted.
The suspect drew a gun and shot the victim from behind and fled with the weapon towards Barangay Gulang-Gulang here. Jayson died on the spot.
Police are conducting follow-up investigation and manhunt operations. Crime of passion is one of the motives being considered by investigators.
