LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – A 33-year-old Indian businessman was gunned down in the public market of Guinobatan, Albay on Friday, March 6.
Police Lt. Col. Malu Calubaquib, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office-5, said the victim was collecting loan payments from vendors when a man appeared and shot him.
The suspect fled and the victim was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
A coconut vendor was wounded by stray bullet in his buttocks. He is now in stable condition.
Police are conducting follow-up investigation and pursuit operations.
