Human skeletal remains found in grassy area in Rizal barangay

Authorities are investigating the possible identification of human skeletal remains that were found at a vegetated uphill part of Sitio Balso in Barangay Calahan, Cardona, Rizal on Thursday, March 5. 
The Cardona Municipal Police Station said they received a report about the remains through a call from the barangay secretary of Barangay Calahan.
Upon arrival in the area, the investigator saw the human skull along with several other parts of human bones. 
Upon inquiry, authorities discovered that a long time ago, the said area had been utilized as an informal burial site for families that could not afford a formal burial.
They requested SOCO assistance for the possible identification of the skeletal remains.
