During the recent media conference for the reality series "Heart World 2," which will premiere on GMA Network on March 7, Heart addressed common misconceptions about her.
"Yes, I admit it—I’m 'maarte.' People have always seen that in me, and I embrace it. But my being 'maarte' never hurt anyone. It’s just my way of expressing who I am, nothing more, nothing less," Heart declared with a playful smile.
Heart, 41, also thinks that dressing up has become a misconception for many people.
"People often wonder, 'Why does she dress up so much?' But we all have our own ways of coping with life's challenges. I’m not wired perfectly—my mind is always racing. For me, dressing up and expressing myself through art and fashion is my armor. It’s what gets me out of bed every morning and gives me the strength to face the world.
"Maybe that’s why some people think I’m 'maarte.' But honestly, that’s just a part of me that I’ve learned to embrace—and even turn into my livelihood. At the end of the day, you have to be smart and make the most of what makes you unique," Heart shared warmly.
In 2024, the world watched in awe as Heart flung open the doors to her life with the premiere of Heart World. The hit series swept viewers into a whirlwind of glitz, grit, and glamour—showcasing her dazzling adventures, heartfelt moments, and the powerful stories behind her meteoric rise.
Now, Heart returns with even greater fire—wiser, bolder, and fiercely authentic. As Heart World Season 2 launches, she embraces every facet of herself: influencer, entrepreneur, celebrity, and style maven, ready to electrify the world once more.
"I take pride in having overcome many challenges in my life. These might seem trivial to others, but with the kind of heart God has given me, I managed to get through them—even if they seem insignificant to some.
"If there's something about my heart, something that I am proud of, I didn't allow my heart to harden it. But I've gained a lot of wisdom from everything. I love myself even more for standing up for myself. I'm just grateful. Alam ko kung bakit ako nandito sa mundo because I am not done yet," Heart said.
With a heart full of wisdom and spirit, she steps boldly into the world she now owns. This season, Heart bares her soul like never before—sharing triumphs, stumbles, and the untold stories behind the headlines, inviting us all to join her on a journey of truth and transformation.
Last Feb. 14, Heart celebrated her birthday with simple wishes and gratitude for what she has right now.
"The things that I don't have, I accept that I don't have. If there's any wish, it's good health for everybody I love. I don't think I've ever wished for myself anything. I'm grateful for what I have. I've reached a point na sapat na ako kung ano man ang meron ako ngayon. I am just lucky to be here with all of you. Who would have thought you would pay attention to me at this age and time of my life?" she said.
Heart has made real, honest friendships and even romantic relationships that may have been challenged over the years, but now, as she heals her own soul, she’s able to reconnect with those she still treasures. How can one repair a friendship/relationship worth saving?
In season 2, get ready to meet the woman giving “main character vibes” in Heart World this season: Heart’s beautiful mother, Ms. Cecile Payawal-Ongpauco!
Get ready for heartwarming moments between mother and daughter as they explore the world together and learn more about each other’s experiences and strengths.
Heart World would not be complete without the glamorous on-camera fashion moments in Milan, Paris, and throughout Asia. Heart’s fabulous street-style and Fashion Week appearances are truly worth experiencing with her, but Heart is also sharing the many lessons she keeps learning through the difficult off-camera moments she’s been facing.
Ultimately, Heart is back—brighter than ever and unafraid to open her world once more. This season isn’t just a comeback; it’s a bold declaration of her truest, most empowered self—a reminder to us all that authenticity is the fiercest kind of beauty.
Premiering on March 7 under the helm of esteemed director Rico Gutierrez, join Heart on her beautiful and life-changing adventure and catch Heart World Season 2 every Saturday at 9:30 p.m. on GMA Network.
