Growing for a cause: An urban farming morning at BGC Community Farm
The BGC Community Farm blooms with purpose as Urban Farmers PH and Assumption College San Lorenzo Makati HS Batch 2002 host “Family Mornings with Urban Farming.” This special fundraising event invites families to connect with nature while supporting the Assumption Mission Schools throughout the Philippines.
On Feb. 22, 2026, attendees enjoyed a hands-on morning dedicated to green living. Participants learned about living soil, immersed themselves in the basics of planting, and took home their very own tiny plant to continue their gardening journey at home.
Beyond the fun of farming, every ticket contributes directly to the education of students in underserved communities and supports Urban Farmers PH’s mission of growing farms in every urban city to raise awareness about food security and sustainability. It was a morning designed for those who want to grow an edible garden and a better future at the same time.
AC 2002 will host a special second session on March 8, 2026. Adults and kids are welcome. Interested parties can register online at www.bit.ly/ac2002 or scan the QR code featured on the official event posters. The BGC Community Farm is a partnership between Urban Farmers PH and Fort Bonifacio Development Corporation.
According to the organizers, the event is more than just a workshop; it is a morning of gardening and art, and a way to reconnect with the soil and nature. It’s also a fun way for families to unplug while giving back to students.
