During the Committee on Justice and Human Rights hearing Tuesday, Estrada asked Means, “Do you have a Filipino boyfriend?”
To this, she replied, “Not yet po.”
He then added, “Maybe Senator Pangilinan might want to apply…Sorry, kay Sharon,” referring to Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan, who was married to megastar Sharon Cuneta.
Pangilinan even told Estrada tongue-in-cheek that Cuneta might get mad at him.
The exchange occurred during a hearing that tackled Means’ naturalization.
Netizens quickly expressed outrage, and claimed that the senator’s comments were inappropriate and unprofessional.
