Trailer for 'BTS The Comeback Live I Arirang' released: 'Witness the Homecoming'
Netflix released the trailer for K-pop superstars BTS’ live comeback event happening in Seoul on March 21.
The “BTS The Comeback Live I Arirang” will be held at 8 p.m. KST (7 p.m. PHT) at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul. The event will be live streamed on Netflix.
The comeback show will be held a day after the release of BTS’ new album “Arirang” on March 20.
The event will mark BTS’ reunion after completing their military service that spanned from 2022 to 2025.
“I really miss them,” said BTS about their fans, Army, conveying more than just a greeting to fans but a refreshing return to the stage they've longed for during their hiatus, and the prelude to a poignant reunion.
“We promised our fans that we'd be back,” said RM in the trailer and the camera pans to the iconic Gyeongbokgung Palace.
The phrases "The World’s Biggest Band is Back: and “Witness the Homecoming” etched throughout the video resemble a majestic fanfare announcing the return of a world-class group.
“I felt that each and every one of us was evolving in some way. Seven together, we can do anything. Keep swimming,” BTS members said.
The accompanying poster depicts the silhouettes of the seven members standing in front of Gwanghwamun Square.
The “BTS The Comeback Live I Arirang” will be directed by Hamish Hamilton, who was behind the 2012 London Olympics opening ceremony and the Super Bowl halftime show.
BTS also unveiled the tracklist of the “Arirang” album. The main track, “Swim,” sings of an unwavering commitment to moving forward despite the rough waves of life.
The philosophical theme of "love for life" articulates the determination to move forward calmly at one's own pace, rather than being swept away. RM took charge of the overall lyrics, adding sincerity and depth to the song's narrative.
