President Marcos has declared special non-working days in two municipalities in Benguet and Capiz to allow residents to celebrate important local events.
According to Malacañang, the two proclamations, signed on March 4, designated special non-working days in the municipalities of Buguias, Benguet and Mambusao, Capiz.
Under Proclamation No. 1180, March 6, Friday, was declared a special non-working day in Buguias as the town celebrates its annual Carrot Festival, one of the municipality’s most anticipated events honoring its thriving vegetable industry.
The proclamation noted that it is “fitting and proper” to give the people of Buguias full opportunity to participate in the festivities and enjoy the celebration.
Meanwhile, Proclamation No. 1181 declared March 26, Thursday, a special non-working day in Mambusao in observance of its founding anniversary.
Although the anniversary falls on March 29, a Sunday, the Sangguniang Bayan of Mambusao requested that the observance be moved to March 26 to enable residents to fully take part in the commemorative activities
