The Southern Police District (SPD) arrested a man and a woman after they were caught with P1.36 million worth of shabu in Taguig on March 3.
The SPD's District Drug Enforcement Unit conducted the drug buy-bust operation in Purok 5, Barangay Napindan, Taguig , in front of the TESDA Training Ground construction site.
The suspects were identified as alias Viv, 53, and and Anthony, 30, both residents of Cainta, Rizal.
The operation was led by the SPD's District Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with the District Intelligence Division and Taguig police's Sub-station 5.
During the sting, a police officer acted as a poseur buyer and transacted with the suspects, leading to their arrest.
Authorities recovered 200 grams of shabu valued at P1.36 million.
Viv yielded 100 grams of shabu and buy-bust money and a cell phone believed to be used in drug transactions while Anthony was also caught with 100 grams of shabu.
The seized evidence was submitted for laboratory examination, while the suspects were brought to the SPD office for documentation.
Criminal complaints will be filed against the suspects for violations of Section 5 (sale) and 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
