A total of 299 Filipinos affected by the escalating tensions in the Middle East were flown back to the country, the Department of Migrant Workers said.
DMW Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac said the OFWs arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on Thursday monring, March 5.
He said group arrived via the Dubai via Emirates Airlines Flight 336, adding that some of them are returning to the Philippines for their safety and security as advised by their employers.
Cacdac personally welcomed the OFWs whom he assured of all the necessary assistance and support from the government.
The OFWs were also provided with immediate financial and medical assistance.
