Police arrested three suspects and confiscated more than P1.08 million worth of suspected shabu in separate anti-drug operations in Caloocan City and Makati City.

Operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the Caloocan City Police Station (SDEU-CCPS) arrested a 40-year-old female suspect during a buy-bust operation in Barangay 178, Caloocan City on March 2.

Authorities recovered about 103.2 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P701,760. Also seized were buy-bust money consisting of one genuine P500 bill and several boodle bills used during the operation.

Meanwhile, operatives of the Makati City Police Station (MPS) arrested two high-value individuals during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Olympia, Makati City on Tuesday, March 3.

The suspects, identified by the aliases “Henry,” a 63-year-old welder, and “Mac Mac,” a 33-year-old tricycle driver, were arrested after an undercover police officer was able to purchase a sachet of suspected shabu worth P24,000.

A follow-up search led to the recovery of seven sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 56 grams with an estimated value of P380,800, along with the buy-bust money and other items.

The arrested suspects will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The Northern Police District (NPD) and the Southern Police District (SPD) officials commended the operating units and reiterated their commitment to intensify anti-drug operations to ensure safer communities.
