Parañaque drug sting nets 2 suspects, P102,000 shabu

Police arrested two drug suspects in a buy-bust operation and seized P102,000 worth of shabu in Parañaque City on Wednesday, March 4.

The suspects were identified as Eddie, 56, and Tom, 53. They were nabbed at around 4:45 a.m. on Lopez Jaena Extension in Barangay San Dionisio.

The operation was conducted by members of the Parañaque City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Police said they seized one sachet of shabu, the subject of the sale, and seven more sachets of suspected illegal drugs weighing about 15 grams with an estimated street value of P102,000.

Also recovered from the suspects were the P500 marked buy-bust money, a brown coin purse, and a cellular phone allegedly used in the illegal drug transaction.

The confiscated shabu will be submitted to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for qualitative and quantitative examination.

Appropriate charges are being prepared against the suspects.
