Magallanes to build community center for youth, elderly

CAVITE – The local government unit (LGU) of Magallanes has partnered with non-governmental organization Gen4Juan to establish a multipurpose community center aimed at providing training, youth programs, elderly activities, and social services for residents.
Local officials and Gen4Juan representatives signed a usufruct agreement on Monday, March 2, paving the way for the construction of the KaJuan Multipurpose Center, which will serve as a hub for skills development, community programs, and support services for various sectors.

Magallanes Mayor Janessa Maligaya de-Ramayo welcomed the partnership, describing the project as a long-term investment in the municipality’s development.
“The local officials of the Municipality of Magallanes and our people express our gratitude to Gen4Juan for choosing to build the first KaJuan Multipurpose Center in Magallanes and we fully support this initiative, recognizing the KaJuan Center as a transformative investment in the municipality’s future,” the local chief executive said in a statement.
The agreement marks the first major step toward the construction of the facility, with a groundbreaking ceremony scheduled on April 25, which also coincides with Gen4Juan’s first anniversary.

“From a single idea to a permanent home for hope and opportunity, the KaJuan Center will stand as proof that when people come together with purpose, they can build something that will outlive them and continue serving others,” Gen4Juan Chairman and Executive Director Peter Pardo said.
Gen4Juan Vice Chairman Adrian Reyes said that once completed, the KaJuan Multipurpose Center will serve as a venue for skills training, community programs, youth development initiatives, elderly support activities, environmental programs, and various civic and educational engagements.
