Singer and songwriter KZ Tandingan has entered a new chapter of her music career.
After making history at the Smart Araneta Coliseum for their concert "In Between" with TJ Monterde, KZ announced that she is now an independent artist.
"Thank you to everyone who became part of the historic four-night concert series at the Araneta Coliseum for 'In Between.' That experience will always be one of the biggest milestones of my life. It was loud and historic and overwhelming in the best way," KZ said.
"But in the middle of that big moment, something very personal was unfolding too. With the love and support of my first home, Star Music, my management, my family, and my ever-supportive husband, I’ve stepped into a new season."
"I am officially an INDEPENDENT ARTIST. That both excites and scares me. I’m still finding my footing, still learning as I go. But I’m choosing courage. I’m choosing growth. I’m choosing to trust myself,” she added.
KZ also mentioned in her post that the first song she released as an independent artist was "Sinong Magmamahal Sa 'Kin," dedicated to her sister. She also performed it for the first time during the fourth day of their concert.
"I wrote it for my sister — and for anyone who’s always been the strong one. The one who holds everything together, even when they’re quietly breaking," she said.
Embarking on a new adventure in her career, KZ hopes to move with courage.
"As I step into this new chapter, I’m holding onto hope — that growth will meet me where fear lives, that courage will meet me where doubt tries to settle," she said.
"If this song finds you in a quiet, tired place, I hope it reminds you that your strength doesn’t make you less deserving of care. You are allowed to be held, too.
"Thank you for staying. Thank you for walking with me through every in between."
