Through the assistance of OWWA, the provincial government also coordinated with Dana Kursh, Israeli ambassador to the Philippines, to facilitate the immediate repatriation of De Vera’s remains.
Guico assured that appropriate support is being extended to De Vera’s husband who is in Israel.
The provincial government recognized De Vera’s courage and sacrifice and honored her as a modern-day hero who demonstrated compassion and bravery for others even in the midst of danger.
