Apple announces new MacBooks, M5 chip series, and Studio Display

The M5 Pro and M5 Max are absolute beasts in performance

The biggest announcement, probably, falls into the new MacBooks with the upgraded chips. The MacBook Pro, in particular, gets the sassy new M5, which basically boils down to, “Yeah, more power.” Only if it were just that, the new MacBook Pro will be shipping out with the M5 Pro and the M5 Max, which might as well be “infinite power.” Because those chips are serious beasts.
The M5 Pro has 15 or 18 CPU cores and 16 or 20 GPU cores. The M5 Max features 18 CPU cores with 32 or 40 GPU cores. There are options for 24 or 48GB RAM and boasts 1TB of storage.
Needless to say, if you are a power user and you work on heavy applications such as video editing, 3D modeling, and the likes, the Pro in the MacBook is there for a reason. The MacBook Pro also gets the N1 chip, to prep your future for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. Apple has claimed that the MacBook Pro has a 24-hour battery life. Of course, that would depend on what you’re using the MacBook for. But personally from my experience with an older MacBook, Apple does have reliable and long battery life, so there’s little in me to doubt this 24-hour battery life claim.
Apple has announced the new M5 MacBook Air. If you already have the M4 version of the Air, or maybe, the M3, then the jump to M5 may not be needed as much. Of course, that would depend on what kind of work you do. The M5 certainly is more powerful. It’s also more expensive. Although Apple did mention the M5 has twice the read/write speed and has 28% more bandwidth, 153GB/s. Apple has also thrown in the new N1 chip for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. If you think you’ll be needing those very soon, then, it’s there once it becomes available in the country.
Among Apple’s announcements include the Studio Display XDR, Apple’s own monitors. It is 27-inch inches and boasts 5K Retina XDR. It has 120Hz refresh rate, a wider gamut of colors, and 2,000 nits of brightness. It’s also mini-LED, so it should look as pretty as its price. It also supports 140W of charging power and is very much capable of charging a MacBook with a Thunderbolt 5 Pro cable, which, I must say, comes with the display. Shocking, that's included, I know.
As of now, there is no official word or local pricing when these devices will come to the country.
