NU elevates brand excellence, youth-led sustainability at Sampaloc Awards
NU Philippines celebrated excellence in marketing and sustainability during the fourth Sampaloc Marketing Excellence Awards
National University (NU) Philippines celebrated excellence in marketing and sustainability during the fourth Sampaloc Marketing Excellence Awards held at the SM Prime Headquarters Auditorium. The annual gathering recognized outstanding marketing initiatives across all NU campuses while also honoring Senior High School sustainability projects that demonstrate strong social and environmental impact.
NU Manila emerged as the Most Outstanding Campus in Marketing Performance, followed by NU Clark and NU Baliwag. The distinction is awarded to campuses that exemplify creativity, strategic direction, and measurable results in strengthening and elevating the University’s brand presence through innovative and impactful campaigns. NU Baliwag also bagged two other major awards: Best Christmas and Best Summer ID, which were judged by award-winning composer, Mr. Louie Ocampo.
Beyond campus marketing excellence, NU also recognized students from Cuenca Institute Inc. in Batangas for their sustainability initiatives promoting environmental stewardship and social responsibility. Their projects align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reflecting NU’s commitment to nurturing purpose-driven leadership among the youth.
“The Sampaloc Marketing Excellence Awards is a testament to the excellent work that you have done. More than just a competition, this is your work in 2025 being better than your previous years’ work. Not against other campuses, but against yourself.” NU Corporate Marketing and Communications senior director, Adolfo Aran, Jr. expressed.
In line with the University’s thrust to champion purposive initiatives, the awards ceremony was preceded by a conference on innovative marketing and communications strategies. The forum convened industry leaders and practitioners who shared insights on navigating the rapidly evolving digital landscape, leveraging emerging technologies, responding to shifting consumer behaviors, and maximizing data-driven approaches.
Featured speakers included Elizabeth Lacson, assistant vice president for Corporate Communications of SM Investments Corporation; Edgar Timbungco, APR, public relations manager of Mang Inasal; and Anda Del Rosario, ICF-PCC and global executive coach. Their perspectives reinforced NU’s commitment to advancing marketing excellence while cultivating innovation, collaboration, and sustainability across its academic community.
