Muntinlupa honors top 10 taxpayers, 3 companies with 100% resident employees
The Muntinlupa City government celebrated its 31st cityhood anniversary by honoring the top 10 corporate taxpayers, and three companies, including SM Hypermarket, that have 100-percent Muntinlupeño employees.
Mayor Ruffy Biazon led the awarding during the cityhood anniversary event on March 2 at the Muntinlupa Sports Center.
The recognition underscores this year’s theme, “Innovating Progress, Empowering the Future,” highlighting how responsible businesses fuel local development, job creation, and essential public services.
100% Muntinlupeño workforce awardees
Muntinlupa Ordinance No. 2024-151 mandates that at least 70 percent of rank-and-file employees of private companies operating in the city must be bona fide Muntinlupa residents.
For this, three companies were recognized for their 100 percent compliance. They are:
- Super Shopping Market Inc. (SM Hypermarket) (63 out of 63 employees are Muntinlupeño residents)
- IGT Technologies Philippines Inc. (156 out of 156 employees are Muntinlupeño residents)
- Curated Concepts, Inc. (Kiwami)
“Simple lang ang polisiya natin: inuuna ang Muntinlupeño sa trabaho. Sa tulong ng mga kumpanyang ito, pinagtitibay natin ang pangako na ang kaunlaran ng lungsod ay kaunlaran din ng ating mga Muntinlupeño (Our policy is simple: putting Muntinlupeños first in employment. With the help of these companies, we are reaffirming our promise that the development of the city is also the development of our Muntinlupeños)," said Biazon.
Top 10 taxpayers of Muntinlupa
The city government also honored the top 10 taxpayers in Muntinlupa, whose tax contributions help fund infrastructure projects, social services, healthcare programs, education initiatives, and economic development efforts.
Sa madaling salita, partner namin kayo sa pagsusulong ng Muntinlupeño First (There is no program, service, or project that the city government could implement if it were not for our taxpayers. You are the ones who continue to help our city progress through honest tax payments and your contribution to the local economy. In short, you are our partner in advancing the Muntinlupeño)."
