K-drama 'Siren's Kiss' with Park Min-young, Wi Hajun debuts at No. 1 in South Korea
The premiere episode of the Korean series “Siren’s Kiss” debuted at No. 1 in the ratings in South Korea.
“Siren’s Kiss” is a high-stakes fatal romance thriller starring Park Min-young (“Marry My Husband,” “Confidence Queen”) and Wi Hajun (“Squid Game,” “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon”).
It premiered on Prime Video in the Philippines and in more than 240 countries, and on tvN in South Korea on March 2.
According to polling firm Nielsen Korea, episode 1 of “Siren’s Kiss” debuted at No. 1 nationwide in South Korea on March 2 with a rating of 5.504 percent (peaking to 7.2 percent). It is No. 1 among shows on paid platforms including cable, IPTV, and satellite.
In the Seoul metropolitan area, “Siren’s Kiss” is also No. 1 with a rating of 5.499 percent (peaking to 7.2 percent).
“Siren’s Kiss” ranked first in its time slot on cable and general programming channels in both the Seoul metropolitan area and nationwide in South Korea.
In the drama, Wi Hajun is Cha Wooseok who investigates an insurance fraud scheme linked to a series of mysterious deaths—only to become entangled with Han Seol-ah (Park Min-young) who is suspected to be at the center of it all.
As he probes her secrets, he falls into a dangerous attraction that could cost him his life.
Park Min-young’s role, Han Seol-ah, who is the head auctioneer and team leader at Royal Auction, the nation’s leading art auction house. Beneath her elegant exterior, however, lies a chilling secret: every man who has loved her has died.
Wi Hajun is Cha Wooseok , an investigator with the Insurance Fraud Investigation Unit (SIU).
As the suspect and investigator, Han Seol-ah and Cha Wooseok become dangerously entangled, creating a gripping tension that blurs the line between obsession and love.
