2 dead, 3 hurt in Pililla, Rizal chopper crash

Two persons died while three others were injured after a civilian helicopter crashed in Barangay Quisao, Pililla, Rizal, on Tuesday, March 3.
Pililla Mayor John Masinsin said the helicopter was carrying five passengers, including two foreign nationals, before it crashed on a grass field at around 7:20 a.m. in the barangay. First responders arrived on site at around 7:40 a.m.
Authorities said one of the passengers was declared dead on the spot while the other was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
One of the three injured passengers remains in critical condition, while the rest sustained minor injuries and are now stable.
The injured passengers were rushed to Rizal Provincial Hospital in Morong for treatment.
Meanwhile, Rizal Police Provincial Office (Rizal PPO) Provincial Director Col. Eleazer Barber Jr. said the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
"Patuloy ang koordinasyon ng ating kapulisan sa mga kinauukulang ahensya upang matukoy ang sanhi ng insidente at matiyak ang kaligtasan ng publiko. Magbibigay po tayo ng karagdagang impormasyon sa sandaling maging available ang opisyal na resulta ng imbestigasyon (Our police force is continuing to coordinate with relevant agencies to determine the cause of the incident and ensure public safety. We will provide additional information as soon as the official results of the investigation are available)," Barber said.
