The National Police Commission Saludo hotline was officially launched in Camp Vicente Lim, the headquarters of the Police Regional Office 4-A, in Laguna on Monday.
The hotline serves as a dedicated platform where citizens can report, commend, and recognize police officers across the Calabarzon region who exemplify integrity, professionalism, and outstanding acts of service
Certificates of commendation were awarded to distinguished police personnel and stakeholders for their exemplary good deeds and unwavering support of Napolcom programs and initiatives.
Recipients were led by Police Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas, PRO 4-A director.
Fire Prevention Month
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Laguna launched Fire Prevention Month on Monday at the Laguna Sports Complex in Santa Cruz, Laguna with the theme ”Sa Pag-Iwas sa Sunog Hindi ka Nag-iisa.”
Assistant Provincial Administrator Carina Macalos, representing Gov. Sol Aragones and Vice Gov. JM Carait, praised firefighters for their efforts in protecting the people.
BFP-Laguna chief Fire Supt. Rowena Gollod said the event serves as a strong reminder to the public that fire prevention begins with simple yet responsible actions. “By practicing basic safety measures such as checking electrical connections, and staying alert during the dry season, individuals and families can significantly reduce the risk of fire incidents.”
Meanwhile, the Laguna Medical Center in Santa Cruz kicked off its three-day 102nd founding anniversary celebration Monday with the theme “Isang Siglo at Higit Pa: Sama-Samang Solusyon Para sa Mas Malusog na Laguna.”
Aragones, represented by former Health Undersecretary Eric Tayag, provincial health consultant of Laguna, was guest of honor.
Tayag conveyed the governor’s full support for the continued development of the hospital and assured healthcare remains a flagship priority of the provincial government.
Dr. Leticia Hannah Minette Alcala, LMC chief, highlighted the hospital’s mission and its vital role in the community in her remarks.
