Man, woman shot by soldier in Northern Samar

TACLOBAN CITY – A soldier allegedly shot and wounded two individuals in Barangay Dalakit, Catarman, Northern Samar, on Monday morning, March 2.

Police said the victims were a 23-year-old man and a female of legal age, both residents of Barangay Airport Village in the municipality.

The suspect, a member of the Philippine Army assigned to Barangay Maulong, Catbalogan City, fled after the incident.

The victims were taken to the Northern Samar Provincial Hospital in Catarman.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation and manhunt operations.
