Cook robs own employer of P27,000 worth of items in Manila
A 31-year-old cook is being hunted by the Manila Police District (MPD) after robbing the restaurant where he works at in Sta. Ana, Manila, on Feb. 26.
The police identified the suspect as alias "Argold," a native of Roxas, Capiz.
According to the investigators, the suspect gained entry into the restaurant on Arellano Avenue in Barangay 755 through its air-conditioning unit before proceeding to his employer's room in the same building.
He subsequently stole P27,263 worth of items, including the business' earnings, food items, alcoholic beverages, and tools before escaping.
The robbery was eventually discovered by the victim on Feb. 28 upon her arrival from a trip in Cavite.
CCTV footage in the scene of the crime confirmed Argold's identity as the perpetrator.
A manhunt was quickly launched by the police against the suspect who remains at large.
Once arrested, he will be charged with robbery before the City Prosecutor's Office of Manila.
