Brazil is reinforcing its role as a trusted agricultural partner of the Philippines with a strong and diversified presence at WOFEX Drinks and Bakes 2026, held from February 25 to 27 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. As the country’s top meat supplier and one of the world’s leading agricultural producers and exporters, Brazil has long contributed to Philippine food security and supply stability
through essential commodities. Building on this foundation, Brazil is now expanding its engagement by showcasing value-added, branded, and innovative food and beverage products that reflect evolving consumer preferences and strengthen its position as one of the Philippines’ top trade partners.
At the Brazil Pavilion (Booth No. 711), five dynamic companies illustrate the diversity, sustainability, and technological advancement of modern Brazilian agribusiness. Three of these firms are first-time participants at WOFEX, underscoring Brazil’s commitment to broaden its footprint in the Philippine market. From the Amazon region, Amazônia Tropical presents distinctive craft beverages such as dry gin with jambu, jambu tonic, and Brazil nut gin, highlighting Brazil’s biodiversity and the global interest in
origin-driven spirits. Attiva demonstrates versatility with a portfolio that spans mineral water, fruit juices, vodka, gin, cachaça, and liqueurs, bridging both premium and mainstream beverage segments. Sambazon responds to the growing demand for functional and health-oriented foods by introducing its internationally recognized açaí products, including purées, scoopable açaí, and ready-to-eat bowls with granola, reinforcing the superfruit’s global reputation as a wellness staple. Sapiens Global showcases a broad range of agro-industrial innovations, from non-alcoholic fruit syrups and spirits to cocoa brandy, coffee, and traditional Yerba Mate, underscoring Brazil’s ability to transform raw materials into sophisticated consumer goods. Coffee, one of Brazil’s most iconic exports, is prominently represented by Vereno, which offers roasted and ground blends, extra-strong varieties, and ready-to-drink options tailored to the Philippines’ expanding café culture.

Brazil’s coffee industry is particularly significant in this partnership. As the world’s top coffee producer, both in beans and soluble coffee, Brazil is well positioned to meet the Philippines’ demand as the world’s leading consumer of soluble coffee, locally known as 3-in-1. Brazilian coffee is already present in the country, with Brazil ranking as the fourth largest supplier of coffee beans by volume. Imports of Brazilian coffee beans doubled last year to $4.8 million from $2.3 million in 2024, according to Philippine Statistics Authority data, reflecting the growing appetite for Brazilian coffee in the local market.
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Ambassador Gilberto Fonseca Guimarães de Moura emphasized the evolution of bilateral agricultural cooperation, noting that Brazil is already a trusted partner contributing to supply stability and food security. He underscored that Brazil’s presence at WOFEX demonstrates a commitment to deepen this partnership by moving beyond commodities to value-added products that bring innovation, sustainability, and new business opportunities to the
Philippine market. The ambassador also highlighted Brazil’s unique model of combining scale with sustainability, supported by investments in research, technology, and traceability systems that enhance productivity while preserving native vegetation.
Brazil’s participation at WOFEX Drinks and Bakes 2026 reflects a strategic effort to expand commercial ties in Southeast Asia, particularly in specialty coffee, premium beverages, superfoods, and functional products—categories that resonate strongly with Philippine consumer trends. The Embassy of Brazil in Manila acknowledges the support of Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) Secretariat of Trade and International Relations (SCRI) in advancing the internationalization of Brazilian agribusiness and fostering long-term trade partnerships. Visitors, importers, and industry stakeholders were invited to explore the Brazil Pavilion and engage directly with participating companies to discover new opportunities across retail, hospitality, food service, and specialty distribution channels. Brazil reaffirms its commitment to strengthening agricultural cooperation with the Philippines, promoting innovation, sustainability, and shared prosperity through trade.
