BLACKPINK's 'Deadline' tops weekly, monthly album charts

K-pop girl group BLACKPINK dominated the weekly and monthly album charts with their third mini-album “Deadline.” 

“Deadline” was released on Feb. 27 and broke the record for the highest first-day album sales for a K-pop girl group in history by garnering 1.46 million copies in sales. 

According to Korea’s Hanteo Chart, “Deadline” grabbed the No. 1 positions in the monthly album chart for February and the weekly album chart from Feb. 23 to March 1. 

Hanteo Chart ranks albums based on its proprietary physical record index (PRI), which combines album sales and album price to come up with points per album.  

In the monthly chart for February, “Deadline” sold 1.46 million copies or an equivalent PRI of 2.04 million points. 

ATEEZ’s “Golden Hour : Part.4” took second place with 1.55 million copies in sales or a PRI of 1.6 million points. 

Girl group IVE’s “Revive+” ranked third with 600,012 copies in sales or a PRI of 867,756.5 points. 

NCT JNJM’s “Both Sides” took fourth place, selling 447,319 copies or a PRI of 484,871.9 points. 

ZEROBASEONE’s “RE-FLOW: Special Limited Album” is in fifth place with 77,116 copies sold or a PRI of 185,078.4 points.
