Suspect in murder of Zamboanga City family arrested

ZAMBOANGA CITY – The suspect in the gruesome murder of three family members here was arrested by authorities on Sunday, March 1.
The suspect, 47, allegedly killed couple Rodel and Jenny Espinosa and their 19-year-old daughter Jenrose inside their residence in Barangay Bolong last Friday.
The suspect walked into Police Station 3 on Sunday morning to clear his name, but witnesses who were present spotted him at the scene of the crime.
Sangali Police Station chief Police Capt. Aripin Abbilani said the suspect will be subjected to a paraffin test to determine the presence of gunpowder residue in his hands.
If results turn out to be positive, the suspect will face multiple murder charges for the killing.
Police are eyeing personal grudge as a possible motive.
