The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested 36 wanted persons, including three Top Most Wanted Persons (TMWPs), during a district-wide “Warrant Day” operation on Saturday. Feb. 27.
The one-day operation resulted in the arrest of three TMWPs, 12 Most Wanted Persons (MWPs), and 21 Other Wanted Persons (OWPs) through coordinated efforts of various police stations and specialized units.
The District Special Operations Unit (DSOU) in coordination with the Bongabon Municipal Police Station and the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office under Police Regional Office 3, arrested two high-ranking wanted persons in Barangay Santor, Bongabon, Nueva Ecija at around 3:20 a.m.
Arrested were alias “Rolly,” 34, listed as the No. 9 Regional Level Most Wanted Person of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) and No. 8 District Level MWP, and alias “Romeo,” 64, tagged as the No. 5 District Level MWP. Both are residents of Barangay Sangandaan, Talipapa, Quezon City.
Alias Rolly is facing multiple charges, including acts of lasciviousness, two counts of sexual assault, four counts of lascivious conduct, and five additional counts of acts of lasciviousness.
The warrants of arrest were issued by Branch 94 of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) in Quezon City.
Alias Romeo has pending warrants for qualified rape, five counts of lascivious conduct, three counts of acts of lasciviousness, and three counts of sexual assault issued by Branch 86 of the RTC in Quezon City.
In a separate operation, Kamuning Police Station (PS 10) under PLTCOL Zachary Capellan served a warrant of arrest against its No. 10 MWP identified as alias “Alvin,” 24, a resident of Barangay Bambang, Pasig City. He was served the warrant at the Manila City Jail in Sta. Cruz, Manila at around 8:10 a.m.
Alias Alvin is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 7832, or the Anti-Electricity and Electric Transmission Lines/Materials Pilferage Act of 1994, with the warrant issued by Branch 84 of the RTC in Quezon City.
Among the police stations, Fairview Police Station (PS 5) recorded three MWP arrests; La Loma Police Station (PS 1) and Payatas Bagong Silangan Police Station (PS 13) recorded two each; while Masambong (PS 2), Novaliches (PS 4), PS 10, Holy Spirit (PS 14), and Project 6 (PS 15) recorded one arrest each.
For OWPs, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU), District Anti-Carnapping Unit (DACU), and Anonas Police Station (PS 9) recorded three arrests each. PS 1, Talipapa Police Station (PS 3), and PS 14 recorded two each, while the District Intelligence Division (DID), PS 2, Batasan (PS 6), Cubao (PS 7), Galas (PS 11), and Eastwood (PS 12) recorded one arrest each.
The QCPD said the respective courts that issued the warrants will be formally notified of the arrests.
“Ang tagumpay na ito ay bunga ng sama-samang aksyon ng iba’t ibang yunit ng QCPD, alinsunod sa pinaigting na kampanya ng PNP sa ilalim ng Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) at mga programa ng NCRPO. Patuloy naming palalakasin ang ugnayan at koordinasyon upang mapabilis ang paghuli sa mga wanted persons,” PBGEN Randy Glenn Silvio said.
