Octogenarian bizman, 2 staff shot dead in Nueva Ecija

An 82-year-old businessman and his driver and helper were found dead in Barangay Baloc, Santo Domingo, Nueva Ecija on Saturday, Feb. 28.
Police identified the victims as Romulo, businessman; driver Theodore, and helper Rose.
Investigation said their bodies with multiple bullet wounds were discovered by helper Freddie.
Romulo and Theodore were found outside their container house. Romulo’s neck and feet were tied with wire. Rose’s body with three bullet wounds was inside the house.
Police said several documents inside the house were in disarray. The door lock appeared to have been forcibly destroyed and cabinets inside were reportedly ransacked.
Recovered in the area were several spent shell casings and a gun.
Police Major Melchor T. Pereja, Santo Domingo chief of police, urged residents to remain vigilant. Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
An autopsy was conducted on the victims. (with a report from Freddie Lazaro)
