Firmo noted the strong collaboration between the city government and DepEd in ensuring that facilities such as the oval and the swimming pool meet standards.
City Mayor Jose Cari shared that it has been over a decade since they last hosted the EVRAA meet, prompting them to prepare extensively for the event, which impressed their visitors.
"Without the medals being tallied yet, Baybay City has already won. We have not just prepared the venues but we have also prepared the attractions here in Baybay."
