Cainta LGU boosts emergency response with new rescue vehicle for BFP
The Cainta Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) on Saturday, Feb. 28, received a new rescue vehicle from the local government of Cainta, Rizal, to strengthen the city’s emergency response as Fire Prevention Month kicked off on March 1.

Cainta Mayor Kit Nieto said the BFP requested the vehicle from the mayor’s office months ago, which he approved on the condition that the BFP must ensure it is properly used for rescue operations, especially during disasters and emergencies.
The rescue vehicle is designed to travel even in flooded areas, with water reaching up to half its height, making it especially useful during heavy rains and flooding in the city.
To ensure a better emergency response, especially in firefighting, Nieto added that the local government will also turn over a new fire truck to the BFP, especially now during Fire Prevention Month, when fire incidents usually rise in various areas.
“Kailangan nating handa lagi para sa anumang emergency—may baha man o sunog. Ang mga bagong kagamitan na ito ay patunay na ang lokal na pamahalaan ay seryoso sa pagprotekta sa buhay at ari-arian ng mga taga-Cainta (We must always be prepared for any emergency—whether it is flooding or fire. These new equipment are proof that the local government is serious about protecting the lives and property of Cainta residents),” the mayor said.
Officials of the Cainta BFP expressed gratitude for the support of the local government and vowed to use the new vehicles for the benefit of all residents.
