5 drug suspects yield P3.4-M shabu in Rizal buy-bust

Authorities confiscated P3,400,000 worth of illegal drugs from a high-value individual (HVI) and four street-level individuals (SLIs) during a buy-bust operation in Taytay, Rizal on Saturday, Feb. 28.
The Taytay Municipal Police Station (Taytay MPS) identified the suspects as “Anton,” tagged as HVI, and “Jammer,” “Jassim,” “Datu,” and “Shaina,” all listed as SLI.
They were arrested following a joint operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Rizal, PDEA Laguna, PDEA Batangas, and PDEA SIU Quezon, in coordination with RIU 4A, Taytay MPS SDET/Intel operatives, and PIU Rizal PPO along Zenia Street in Barangay San Juan.
Seized from them were 10 pieces of heat-sealed transparent sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, with an estimated weight of 500 grams, which is the object of sale.
Meanwhile, authorities continue to search for another suspect, identified as “Baidido,” who remains at large.
The arrested suspects are currently detained at PDEA Rizal and will face charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165.
