Tribu Siglat, Mabini Elementary School top Panagbenga street dancing tilt

BAGUIO CITY – The Tribu Siglat-Tinungbo Festival of Pugo, La Union won the festival dance category while the Mabini Elementary School Drum and Lyre Corps topped the elementary drum and lyre category in the grand street dancing competition of the 30th Panagbenga Festival here on Saturday, Feb. 28.
Tribu Siglat – which had a woman of short stature as featured performer – won P200,000.
Tribu Kanluran of Jones, Isabela, was second, with a P100,000 prize, and Tribu Balitok a Pagey of Malasiqui, Pangasinan was third and earned P70,000.
Mabini Elementary School Drum and Lyre Corps pocketed P150,000.
El Tribu d Lucban of Lubcan Elementary School was second (P100,000) and third place was Tuba Central School from Tuba, Benguet (P70,000).
Participants will be given P100,000 each as subsidy for participating.
