Parañaque cops seize P3.5M shabu; suspect arrested

Authorities arrested a 32-year-old man and confiscated P3.5 million worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Parañaque City on Saturday, Feb. 28.

The Parañaque City Police Station identified the suspect as "Genesis." He was arrested following the operation conducted by the Special Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) along Simplicio Cruz Compound Main Road in Barangay San Isidro.

Authorities said Genesis was tagged as a key figure in the illegal drug trade in the area.

Seized during the operation were 520 grams of alleged shabu, a blue sling bag, a black cellular phone, and P49,000 as buy-bust money.

Genesis is currently detained at the police custodial facility and is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
