P1.4-M shabu seized from drug suspect in Alabang

Police confiscated P1.4 million worth of shabu from a high-value individual in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Alabang, Muntinlupa City on Feb. 28.

The suspect was identified by the police as Christopher, also known as Kuya Dan, 49, a resident of United Parañaque Subdivision 5 in Parañaque.

He was arrested during a sting operation conducted by Muntinlupa police's Station Drug Enforcement Unit at about 2:10 a.m. at the Old City Terminal in Alabang.

During the operation, police recovered five plastic sachets containing shabu, weighing 207.25 grams and valued at P1.4 million, and two P1,000 bills used as buy-bust money.

The police will file charges against him for violation of Sections 5 (sale, trading, administration, dispensation, delivery, distribution and transportation of dangerous drugs and/or controlled precursors and essential chemicals) and 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, director of the Southern Police District, commended the Muntinlupa police for the operation.
